I grew up in a teeny tiny town in Missouri. I became a mom young, and I did it on my own.
I didn't have connections or a plan. I just knew I couldn't miss his whole childhood.
Six weeks after Liam was born, I was back at work. I walked up to my first table and started crying. Not because of the job, but because of everything I was going to miss.
So I decided. I got paid to learn new skills. I chose contract work. I built it all on nap times and late nights.

I've been working from home since 2018. Today I homeschool Liam and work about 10 hours a week, on the two days he's at his co op.
I knew I wanted to be home with him. And I knew I wanted us to have a free life. Today we travel often, our latest trip being San Francisco.
I am so thankful I took a chance and believed this life was possible.
If you're where I was, I want you to know it's possible. I'm not special. I got started as a literal teenager who, beyond logic, was determined to be a single stay at home mom. I wrote down the exact 5 decisions so you don't have to figure it out alone.
